Faith in Action

At St Joseph’s, we take part in charity work because Jesus teaches us to care for people who are in need. In Matthew 25:35–40, Jesus explains that whenever we help someone who is hungry, thirsty, lonely, unwell or struggling, it is as though we are helping Jesus himself.

Through our charity work—locally, nationally and internationally—we put our faith into action. We follow Jesus’ example by showing kindness, compassion and generosity, helping us to live out our mission:

“As a family with God in our hearts, we love, laugh and learn.”

Class Charities 

Our children play an active role in choosing the charities we support. They explore and discuss local, national and international causes that are meaningful to them before voting democratically for their chosen charities. This places pupil voice at the heart of our charitable work and helps children recognise how their actions can make a positive difference to the lives of others.
